Looking back on this in 2025, it was a bit naive. They've already captured Bitcoin it seems, after reading Roger Ver's book "Hijacking Bitcoin". It broke the $100k price point, but it's still largely useless. It's not private, it's not useful as a currency. We'll see if the "digital gold" moniker still has any weight.

Ludwig Von Mises published Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis in 1951. His warnings are just as apt as they were then. Socialists will tell you that "real socialism has never been tried". But even if we accept that as true, one can readily see that 'almost' socialism has plunged entire nations into death and despair. So when Americans like Robert Reich advocate for even just a few more socialized government programs, you ought to have the same visceral reaction you would if he were advocating another Holocaust.
